The Mind is Powerful
The mind is the invisible realm of thought, emotion, belief, perception and consciousness. It’s information previously taught.
With the mind, you can learn to change habits, patterns and behaviors that are limiting your life and your happiness.
The beliefs you hold in your subconscious mind become your reality
The brain is the physical essence of our being, sending and receiving bodily signals, producing biochemicals and processing through neural transmissions.
There are things you can do to enhance the production of positive biochemicals, and improve the signals that are being transmitted within your brain…and it starts with the mind.
What will keep the Mind and Brain healthy?
Meditation: improves sleep, problem solving, memory and gives an overall sense of well-being. It reduces depressive symptoms and anxiety as it calms and soothes the limbic system…and it generates kindness.
Exercise: Did you know when you exercise your brain gets so positively engaged that it actually lights up with electrical activity? Exercise improves mood, thinking skills, reduces stress, and increases energy. With regular exercise there is a reduction of cortisol, and a boost of serotonin…and it improves the overall health of your body.
Experience/Exposure: The old saying “if you don’t use it, you lose it” really does apply to the brain. Keeping the brain engaged will help keep those cells alive as activity stimulates good brain health. Talking with friends, telling stories, taking a class, reading a book or anything that engages your brain is food for those cells.
Mental Attitude: is a series of thoughts carried over and over in the mind. It’s patterned and habitual and can be changed. Mental attitude determines how you see and feel about yourself, and how you see and feel about the world around you. The very best thing you can do for you and your brain is have a lot of PMA (Positive Mental Attitude).
