We all get stuck, scared, and even shut down. There are periods of time when we sit tightly closed – too tired or too scared to take risks, to change or to do anything differently. The longer we sit in the space of nothingness, the tighter our cocoon squeezes. Eventually, we feel the pain of apathy which hurts more than the risk of breaking free. The caterpillar, the flower, the seed never knows what’s just beyond their thin crusty layer; they just know they can no longer be contained. Rest if you must, but always reach for the light.
